ULM Appoints VCL As Advisor To The Polokhivske Project 

In January, 2021, ULM  (the Company) appointed Vertical Consulting Limited (VCL) as Advisor to the Polokhivske Project, a lithium resource project that the Company is looking to develop in the Ukraine. VCL is headquartered in Asia and as part of the engagement, Anthony Tse (former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Resources, which recently merged with Allkem (ASX: AKE) and is now the world’s fifth largest lithium producer) and certain team members also previously with Galaxy, with substantial experience in operating and developing spodumene and petalite mines also, will be assisting ULM with its strategy, business and technical development plans, as the Company advances the Polokhivske Project. They will also be supporting ULM’s initiatives in engaging with potential strategic investors and customers globally, leveraging off their extensive corporate relationships in the industry.

 

Anthony has over 27 years of corporate private and public company experience in numerous high-growth industries, spanning technology media and telecoms, natural resources and specialty chemicals, and more recently the ESG and energy transition sectors, in particular the EV and lithium battery value chain. His roles have been primarily in senior management, with a focus on strategy, M&A and corporate finance internationally – he has managed businesses and operations across four continents spanning the Greater China and Asia region, Australia, North and South America.

 

Anthony is the former the Managing Director of Galaxy Resources, a leading global lithium producer with operations and development projects in Australia, Canada and Argentina, with a deep customer base across China, Japan and Korea. He is currently a Board Director of Li-Cycle Corp. (NYSE: LICY), which is North America’s largest lithium battery recycling company and Li-Metal (CSE: LIM), which is a developer of lithium metal and lithium metal anode technologies for next generation lithium solid-state batteries; and a Senior Advisor to Sicona Battery Technologies (a leading developer of silicon-composite materials for next generation lithium battery anode technologies). Anthony has also recently been appointed as an Operating Partner to the Global Private Equity Group of Franklin Templeton (NYSE: BEN), a global asset management organization operating in 165 countries with over 70 years of investment experience and US$1.55 trillion in assets under management. Anthony’s network includes a number of global mining investors, with interest to expand abroad, and his expertise shall be critical in bringing such investor base to Ukraine’s lithium sector.
